Two things to plan for: stone should be sealed on install and resealed over time, and finish matters — honed for grip and wear on floors and wet areas, polished to show off color where it's protected. If you want the stone look with near-zero upkeep, we also carry stone-look large-format porcelain.
Slab or tile — and caring for stone
Natural stone comes two ways, and the right one depends on the job. Slabs give you large, continuous surfaces with book-matched veining for counters, vanities, and dramatic feature walls; stone tile is easier to handle and set for floors, showers, and backsplashes. Either way, care is simple but real: seal on installation, wipe spills promptly — especially acidic ones like wine, citrus, and coffee on marble — use pH-neutral stone cleaners rather than generic acidic ones, and reseal periodically, more often in kitchens and wet areas.
